What is the OutWest Film Fest?

OutWest Film Fest is northern Nevada's LGBTQ Film Festival held in Reno and Lake Tahoe and is hosted by Our Center, Reno's LGBTQ nonprofit community center founded to provide a place that provided programs, services, and resources for the community

 

When and where is the OutWest Film Fest?

The OutWest Film Festival is scheduled for May 18th & 19th in Reno. The South Lake Tahoe portion of the festival will be held in the fall of 2019.

 

How can I submit my film?

You can submit your film to the OutWest Film Fest by visiting our page on Film Freeway.

 

When will tickets go on sale? How do I get my tickets?

How much are tickets?

Tickets for individual showings cost $10 with an early bird discount and Nevada Museum of Art Discount available.

What types of film will be shown?

The film festival will show international LGBTQ documentaries, feature films, and shorts.

 

Will these movies be suitable for kids?

Not all films will be suitable for children, but there will be clear labels on which films are appropriate for various audiences.  

 

Where can I stay if I'm visiting from out of town or just want to stay in downtown Reno or Tahoe?

Room block information will be available for both Reno and Tahoe.

 

Is there any way I can help or volunteer?

Yes! We need volunteers to help us run this awesome event.
